The Maison

The only independent jeweler on Place Vendôme, Lorenz Bäumer has been putting his name to creations at 19 Place Vendôme for 30 years. He gives free rein to his unbridled creativity to create, surprise and sublimate.

From the United States to Jordan, via Austria, Germany and Canada, diversity permeates the designer, whose sensibility was nurtured by a mother who was a jack-of-all-trades and gifted with her hands, introducing him to a certain form of craftsmanship at an early age. A graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris, his engineering training made him a pioneer in the use of new techniques and materials. He quickly established himself as one of the leading jewelers of the 21st century.

Scouted by some of the world's top fashion houses, he accepted a challenge from Chanel, who asked him to develop jewelry for its Maison de Couture. For 20 years, he was artistic director of jewelry, and made a name for himself. His creations quickly became Chanel classics: Ultra, Camélia, Coco and Matelassée... In 2007, LVMH entrusted him with the launch of Louis Vuitton jewelry. Acclaimed by his peers with his first collection, “L'Ame du Voyage”, he went on to reinterpret the codes of travel for Maison Vuitton over the next 10 years. In 2010, the designer was selected by the royal family of Monaco to create the jewelry for the wedding of Princess Charlène Wittsock and Prince Albert II. He created the famous “Ecume de diamants” tiara for her.

A lover of the arts in all its forms, he designs for numerous houses and collaborates with many others: Hermès, Cartier, Piaget, Bréguet, Baccarat, Nathalie Blanc and Guerlain, for whom he designs the famous rouge G and the abeille perfume bottle. Lorenz is particularly fond of fulfilling the very special requests of his friends, notably Prince Gabriel de Broglie and Chancellor Xavier Darcos.

From his eponymous Maison at 19 place Vendôme, Lorenz Bäumer continues to celebrate femininity with audacity. With talent, he overturns jewelry codes, daring and constantly innovating in an avant-garde style.

Each of his creations has a soul. He draws his inspiration from his passions: art and nature. The designer is first and foremost an epicurean and collector who likes to share his discoveries. In his Place Vendôme salons, he'll be delighted to share with you a whisky or rum from his personal collection, or his passion for old drawings, photos of the Vendôme column, comic books and knives... A creator and a trailblazer, Lorenz Bäumer is above all an authentic and generous artist, whose creativity knows no bounds.
